- Choose a novel to read every day. (The novel should be at your reading level or higher and something you have NOT already read. Please feel free to borrow a book from my library).
- During the two weeks you’re at home, complete FOUR of the five novel response options below:
- Comic Strip – Choose a section or chapter of the novel you’re reading and create a six-scene comic strip. Include narration, dialogue and illustrations.
- Magazine Cover – Create a mock magazine cover to represent your novel. Include a main character or setting as the cover photo, quotes from the novel as headlines and time period appropriate details.
- Drama – Choose a particularly exciting scene from the novel to change into a scene in play format. Include character dialogue and stage directions. This should be approximately one page in length.
- Novel to Poem – Create a ten-line poem based on your novel. You can write the poem about the scenery, characters, plot, or a combination. It does not have to rhyme.
- Letter – Write a letter between two of the characters in the novel. It should be in the proper letter format and about one page in length.
- Complete Formal Book Review.
