- Read ch. 5-7 of AQWF - Complete visual representation vocab (word, def, use the word in the sentence and draw a picture of it). - WWI Letter from a woman's perspective.
Write a short opinion essay (two-to-three paragraphs) about whether or not you agree with and/or feel war is necessary. (If you use outside sources, don't forget to cite them!)
- Read and annotate ch. 1 and 2 of All Quiet on the Western Front. (AQWF).
- While reading (or after reading) keep track of the main characters. Write down the characters' names, physical characteristics (if any), personality traits, and an interesting quote that describes him/her.
Enjoy a long weekend free of homework...or if you haven't completed your homework, take this as an opportunity to get caught up! :)
Write a character analysis about the main character in the self-selected novel you're reading. Include the following details:
- Write two riddle poems, four lines each. They do not have to rhyme. - Read self-selected novel for one hour. Choose one scene's setting to draw. Include a quote or caption about the setting. - Find an article about World War I. Bring it in on Tuesday. - Read and annotate intro packet for AQWF.
- Create a visual representation dictionary for the vocab. words. 1) Word, 2) Definition 3)Sentence 4) Picture
